No power in winter makes for a cold, cold day

We lost power this morning about 10 am and it was out all day. It finally came back on about 945 pm. But then it was in and out for another couple hours.

Now I don’t mind losing power when there is a good reason (snow, ice, asteroid) but there was nothing. No snow, no rain, no wind and certainly no asteroids. Maybe someone hit a pole, or a squirrel hid one too many acorns in a transfuser (RIP squirrel if this was the case).

It’s not so bad during the day but when you live out in the country, and EVERYONE is out of power once the sun goes down it makes for a really, really dark evening.

When power finally came back on the house was a chilly 54°. Brrrrrr!
