9 more baby chicks arrived last week. 3 (one rooster and 2 hens of each) Barred Rocks, Silver Laced Wyandottes, and Blue Copper Marans.
Unfortunately we have one little peeper that has a leg issue. I think she got hurt in the brooder. She won’t put any weight on her one leg. I have tried all kinds of fixes and nothing is working. My next fix is to splint it in hopes that it will heal.
Until then she is hanging out in my office but I know she is lonely too. Whatever I do has to be able to withstand the pecking of the other chicks. If they see a weakness they will peck at it and make it worse.
